01 ABOUT

At InnovAction: Designing for Equality and Change, we are moving beyond the business case in reframing gender equality as an innovation challenge. We invite panelists, facilitators, and attendees not only to take a closer look at current practices and tools that are being used to facilitate gender equality and inclusion but to design innovative solutions during the conference by using human-center design principles.

We will be welcoming industry professionals from Consulting, Financial Services, Consumer Goods, and the Public Sectors – including 12 CIBC leaders who will work directly with participants during the co-creation session! There will also be ample opportunities for networking during our Networking Session and Gallery Walk – where we will have an in-depth discussion with CIBC SVP/CIO, Georgia Woods!

DO NOT DESIGN FOR US, DESIGN WITH US

0 2   WHAT'S NEW

A new format

InnovAction 2018 combines plenary sessions, workshops, and action-oriented activities to move participant to learn, discuss and provide solutions to achieve gender equality in the business context:

Moderated by Professor Sarah Kaplan, the first part of the conference will bring industry leaders together to engage in a discussion about how to reframe gender equality as an innovation challenge.

The second part is made up of two workshop series that will A) give participants a view into current innovations being implemented by managers in consumer goods, tech, and public organizations, and B) introduce participants to a series of tools for creating change. The purpose of these workshop sessions is to inspire participants, and empower them to innovate for gender equality. Each participant will pick one workshop from session A, and one from session B.

We will be joined CIBC SVP/CIO, Georgia Woods, who will share her thoughts about how to engage Executives in innovating for gender and equality.

Then, the Co-Creation Session will give participants the opportunity to work together to create innovative solutions to specific gender equality challenges using Business Design concepts and tools.

These solutions will be showcased during a Networking Session and Gallery Walk!
